TVN Receives First ODYS Certification
The Village Network has worked with sexually reactive adolescents and juvenile sex offenders for over 20 years. TVN is proud to be the first agency in Ohio to be certified by the Ohio Department of Youth Services for sexual offender programs.
As a certified treatment agency, TVN can impact the future of adolescent sex offenders by petitioning the courts to reduce and /or terminate duties to register upon satisfactory completion of TVN’s sexually reactive and juvenile sex offender programs.
Alumni Section Expanded
Jack Welch remembers the exact day he arrived on The Village Network-Boys’ Village Campus, January 27, 1976. He credits the program and the help he received here in changing his life.
Jack’s story is featured on the expanded alumni section of the website. The alumni pages are one of several areas receiving a facelift.

Two Offices Merge & Consolidate Services
The Newcomerstown office merged with the agency’s Uhrichsville location at 117 E. 3rd St., Rear, Uhrichsville at the end of December. The move consolidates our day treatment and treatment foster care services for Tuscarawas County in one place.
The move will offer additional mental health services to the foster children and the foster families currently in the organization’s care and makes it easier to recruit foster homes in Coshocton, Carroll, Harrison and Guernsey counties.
Inmates Create Security Blankets
Once every other week, 10 inmates at Marion Correctional Institution and two volunteers from Knox County Quilters Guild get to work. They create hand-made, twin-sized comforters for the residential youth at TVN-Mt. Vernon/Knox County Children’s Resource Center.
For over 30 years, TVN main campus residential youth have received their own quilt when they arrive on campus. Alumni often share their attachment to the “security blanket” years later. MCI inmates make it possible to expand the program to the Knox County facility.
Community Donations at Work
Our ability to help the boys and girls under The Village Network care is greatly expanded by the generosity of people, organizations and foundations that support TVN programs and facilities. Every gift is appreciated.
It’s not enough for dollars to go a long way. They must be pointed in the right direction. Flexibility, strength and stewardship are key components to our financial stability.
Thank you to the Randolph J. & Estelle M. Dorn Foundation, Wayne National Foundation (National City), Reeves Foundation, the Wayne Chapter of IAAP, the American Art Therapy Association and the TVN-Day Treatment Program for supporting abused and traumatized children.
